To The People Who Hate Me

To the people who hate me,
I thank you for teaching me that I have hatred in my mind.

To my enemies,
I thank you for teaching me that I still have enemies in my mind.

To those who scold me, to those who nag me and pick on me,
I thank you for teaching me that I still have scolding, nagging and picking on
in my mind.

When I find faults in others I will know that those faults are in me and I will
be thankful.

When I am uncomfortable in my mind for whatever reason,
then I am thankful for that mind.

Foundation - Woo Myung

Foundation

Foundation

Man’s thoughts are
the product of this karma and habits;
man’s mind is the product of condition;
man is the product of his life,
for which his life is one of karma and habits;
his life is what makes his mind individual.
Human life creates kleshas along the way.
One’s life exists because one’s body exists -
because one exists.
Man’s mind is originally the empty Mind,
and this empty Mind creates countless different things through life;
therefore each individual person is
a reflection of the Universe.
Their foundation is righteous,
in which all things that appear are
reflections of the original Mind and are realities.
Yet at the same time everything -
Heaven, man, and earth -
and non-existent.

Abandon - Woo Myung

Wishes Sprout_335732687

Abandon

It is great earnest that I say to you,
abandon your attachments;
abandon your discernments;
abandon what you know;
abandon your pride;
abandon anything and everything in your subconscious that moves you;
completely remove the fundamental roots
of all your thoughts.

You will not die if you abandon them.
You will not lose if you abandon them.
You will gain something greater.
If you do not abandon them
you will never reach enlightenment,
nor find your self that is at peace.
You will be Buddha if you reach enlightenment,
so why is it that you do not abandon them?
You lived creating enough kleshas in your mind,
those futile delusions.
What good have they done you?
Why are you unable to let go of them
when they provide no aid or benefit?
Let them go immediately.
Do you intend to continue fighting your kleshas?

Be simple and innocent.
Be like a child.
Be a person that knows nothing.
Abandon your curiosity.
Do not be cunning.
Abandon wealth and prosperity.
Such things are what sicken you;
they are your worst enemies.

There are steps that must be taken for all things.
Thus if you wish to reach enlightenment,
you must take action
by abandoning the things you have,
for unless you do, you will never reach it.
If you still do not wish to let go of them,
let us consider
the countless people who have departed before you:
Are the heroes of the times or the eternal saints still alive now?
Is there anything that is indeed eternal?
They are all futile dreams of the past.
So truly let go of all that is yours -
those pointless things -
right now.
Once you do, you will find your eternal self,
which is a priceless treasure you must indeed find
while you are alive as a human being.
This is something that cannot be done
unless you are a human being,
and opportunities do not come often.
If you do not let go now
you will lose this chance for all eternity.
Time will not wait for you:
Who will you blame when you are without enlightenment?

How to Treat Others

When dealing with another,
do so with the absence of your mind.
When you do this,
that person will feel at utmost ease.
When you do this,
you will become one with that person.
When you become one with him,
he will listen to your words,
which are free of mind.

Love, compassion, and benevolence
confine the mind of another,
for they all attachments;
they undesirable,
for they cause you to create karma
which is what gives birth to the human mind.
If a person attempts to do you harm out of greed
avoid him,
but do so absent of the thought that you are doing it.
This means that no impressions will be left in his mind
and neither will any be left in yours.
In a conflict occurs between you and another due to his greed,
stand by his side and agree absent of mind;
pretend that you too are greedy
and then slip out later.
This means that so long as you do not become immersed in his way of thinking,
that mind of greediness will be his
while you will remain as you are.

Why do we undergo trials in life?
We undergo them because of our own karmas.
If you were to ask me how you can overcome
the trials you are experiencing due to your karmic ties,
I would tell that
you must not afford your mind to those trials,
or in other words that
the trials do not exist unless you are present in them.

Woo Myung, Eternal Life - ii

Eternal Life

Eternal life is to live forever -
this is what eternal life means.
The oneness of life and death also means the same.
My mind always existed;
my mind just exists;
it exists eternally.
Knowing me is eternal life;
eternal life is finding me.
Eternal life is when all things
simple just exist within me.
Everything all exists inside me.

Woo Myung, Stop Living In This Land, Go To The Everlasting World Of Happiness, Live There Forever

Stop Living In This Land, Go To The Everlasting World Of Happiness, Live There Forever
Through this book, Woo Myung tells us that when one cleanses his mind and changes his human mind to the mind of the Universe, he will gain wisdom, live a better life and his mind, or spirit, will live eternally. It guides the path for people to achieve human completion, and the way to live with true happiness with the true mind.
The English edition was ranked No. 1 on the Amazon Bestseller list in 10 categories, including meditations, Self-Help, and philosophy, as well as ranking No. 1 overall for a period of time. Woo Myung was also selected as one of Amazon’s best authors in several categories.
Book Excerpts:
In order to become a complete person, a whole person, one must start subtracting from his mind which, until now, he has always added to. Only then can he walk the path to human completion. Truth is revealed to the extent the pictures, which are false, have been discarded. Completion is when a man who is false becomes true. Until now people have always added more and more in their lives. However when one subtracts the pictures inside his false mind world and discards his self that is living in that false world, he can become complete and recover his original nature.
The Story about Book:

The title of the book, Stop Living In This World, Go To The Everlasting World Of Happiness, Live there Forever, was written by the author himself without particular regard to current title trends, and as such is not a sophisticated or catchy title. It simply states the definitive purpose and essence of the book itself, and reflects the author’s open and direct writing style.
It refers to escaping from the mind world that we have each made; and being reborn having become the Universe itself is what is meant by “going” to the everlasting world of happiness, which is something that must be done while we are still alive.
The calligraphy in the book was written by the author, who has written countless works of calligraphy with his inimitable penmanship. The title calligraphy written in Korean also appears on the cover of the English edition.
The illustrations were also drawn by the author himself, to provide a visual reference for the points he makes in the book in order to make them easier to understand. They appear frequently throughout the book and like his writing style, they are simple and yet profound, easy to understand and drawn humorously.

Bright Light - Woo Myung

Bright Light

Bright Light

The day the dark clouds are lifted
will be the day in which the world will be bright.
What does it mean for the world to be bright?
It means that
man’s individual mind will no longer exist.
It means that
his life exists, but he will not exist in it.
Such a place would be a bright world.
Such a place would be a true world.

A true world is a bright world;
a true world is a world of hope.
I await the day the dark clouds will be lifted
and the new world – the new Heaven and earth -
will be revealed.
The cloudless sky brightens the mind of man.
Likewise we will see the bright Light
when the clouds are no more;
likewise we will see the day
when everyone is smiling.
